  • What does CPRH stand for?

    • The purpose of the CPRH designation is for individuals to display their level of knowledge of healthcare policy. The term CPRH can also be understood as an acronym for “Consultant of Policy & Reimbursement for Healthcare.”
  • How long does the CPRH certification stay active for?

    • The CPRH certification may be used by anyone who passes the CPRH exam for as long as continuing education requirements are met, and the user’s subscription is current.
  • What are the benefits of passing the CPRH Exam?

    • The CPRH designation can be understood as a sign of achievement related to a broad-based mastery of healthcare policy topics and processes. Typically, the designation is used in resumes, e-mail signatures, and in presentations. Candidates who successfully pass the CPRH exam will be authorized to use the designation “CPRH” as part of their listed professional credentials.
  • Are there currently training sessions available for the exam?

    • All CPRH program subscriptions come with access to exam reference material which can be used to assist with preparation. Customized solutions are available, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
  • What are CPRH's licensing and affiliations?

    • CPRH is a service provided by Ateris Corporation of Woodland Hills, California. Ateris Corporation is registered as a C Corporation in the state of California, founded in 2016. Our licenses include commercial business registration with the City of Los Angeles, California (#0002964731-0001-7) and business licensing in the State of Washington (#604 484 266). We have an “A” Rating with the Better Business Bureau and are a verified business by TrustLock

      We are an affiliate (institutional) member of The American Association of Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE)

      We have sponsored International Congresses of ISPOR (International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research) for years 2017 and 2018.

      We in the process of conforming to the ISO 29992:2018 Standard for Assessment of Outcomes of Learning Services, and are targeted to meet this compliance by the year 2020.

  • What is the process to take the exam?

    • To take the CPRH Exam, please register on the CPRH Exam website. Once your registration is processed, you will be able to complete the CPRH candidate application on the CPRH Members’ Portal. If your completed application is approved, you will be able to take the Official CPRH Exam.

      During the application review stage, the operators of the CPRH exam (Ateris Corporation) will review the stated qualifications for adherence to the professional experience standards requirement for candidacy.

  • When do continuing education requirements need to be completed?

    • Continuing education must be completed within 2 years of the certification date. Continuing education modules are provided on a yearly basis (starting in 2020), and are included in most CPRH subscriptions.
  • Are program fees refundable?

    • No, the program fees outside of the initial free trial period are not refundable for any reason.
  • What happens if my subscription lapses?

    • A 7 day grace period will take place where our billing team will attempt to contact you to resolve the subscription or hardship issue. If the subscription remains inactive or unpaid, your certification will be revoked, and you will need to re apply, and re-take the exam in order to be reinstated.
  • What happens if my application is not approved, or I do not pass the CPRH exam?

    • If you application is not approved, you will not be able to take the CPRH exam that was applied for. You are welcome to submit a new application at a later time in order to take a CPRH exam on a different date.

      If you do not pass the CPRH exam, you are welcome to submit a new application to take a CPRH exam at a later time.

  • What is required to maintain the CPRH designation? (Continuing Education)

    • For designations earned from the December 26, 2016 to September 8th 2019 enrollment period: Individuals who pass the CPRH exam are allowed to use the designation for two (2) years following the last day of the month of the exam date. Within that two year period, the individual must provide the exam operator (Ateris Corporation) with certificate of completion attendance at an approved healthcare policy related course, or submit a minimum 1,200 word description of the individual’s relevant healthcare policy work within that time period. Please contact us to determine if a specific course may be considered for this requirement. If this requirement is met, the individual’s CPRH designation is renewed for an additional 2 years. If these requirements are not met, the individual must stop using the designation “CPRH”, and must take the exam again in order to earn use of the designation. This process is repeated for each two year period following passing the exam date.

       

      For designations that are earned after September 8th, 2019, individuals who pass the CPRH exam are allowed to use the designation as long as their membership subscription is current and that they complete the annual continuing education training by the prescribed due date. The official CPRH continuing education program is included in all CPRH program subscriptions. As an option, in lieu of completing the official CPRH continuing education program, the individual may provide the exam operator (Ateris Corporation) with certificate of completion attendance at an approved healthcare policy related course, or submit a minimum 1,200 word description of the individual’s relevant healthcare policy work within that time period. Please contact us to determine if a specific course may be considered for this requirement. If this requirement is met, the individual’s CPRH designation is renewed for an additional year. If these requirements are not met, the individual must stop using the designation “CPRH”, and must take the exam again in order to earn use of the designation.   • Which areas of work qualify for "relevant" professional experience?

    • Applicants for the CPRH exam must provide evidence of three years (3 years) professional working experience related to one or more of the following Qualifying Subject Matter Areas:

      • Healthcare Economics
      • Healthcare Strategic Pricing
      • Healthcare Market Access
      • Managed Care
      • Healthcare Insurance
  • What happens if my subscription ends or I do not meet continuing education requirements?

    • You must stop using the CPRH designation, and your record will be updated in the certificate verification system. A 7 day grace period will take place where our billing team will attempt to contact you to resolve the subscription or hardship issue. If the subscription remains inactive or unpaid, your certification will be revoked, and you will need to re apply, and re-take the exam in order to be reinstated.
